Put the Excitement Back in Exercising

Remember when you were a kid? If you were like me, you were potentially always outside running around with your friends. We were always playing stupid games that needed us to run and jump. I suspect we failed to realize how healthy that was. Maybe if we did, we’d have attempted to avoid it more . However perhaps not. I believe the biggest reason most of us don’t exercise today is often because somewhere along the lines it modified from being something fun we just naturally did, to some structured beat down program to get or stay fit.

I think the smartest thing to do to put the fun into an exercise plan is to find the kid in you again. Stop structuring every minute of your program to fit completely into some fat reduction plan you are on. Plan out fun activities which will lead you to incidentally burn fat while you’re enjoying time with your friends and family.

Instead of going to the gym and running on the treadmill for exactly 30 minutes and not a second more, grab your folks and some bikes and find a cool park to ride through. Get the kids outside and start up a neighborhood football game. Get a soccer ball and challenge your friends to a good game of soccer. The loser has to cook dinner. Take a jog in a pretty park and experience the nature around you. Load up the children and go to a lake. If you have got a boat, take up water skiing. If not, play Frisbee or volleyball on the beach. You don’t have to be good at these games, just get out and have a great time while your body consumes calories.

Another good idea is to get on a sports team in the community. If you like tennis, join a league. This is a great way to burn off stress, have fun and burn energy without needing to give it some thought. There are masses of competitive sports you might get involved in if that is’s fun for you. If not, take up a sport anyhow and just play with pals and family for fun. Actually, do some research and find some things you adore to do. Acne Free with an Acne Detox Diet

The acne detox diet notion has been around for a while now, and has created more than it’s share of controversy. Is an acne detox diet an effective acne cure, or just another “idea” that is yet to be proven? I thought a bit of analysis was in order, and you’ll never guess what I found.

The acne detox diet idea resulted from contemporary clinical studies that examined the findings of two other landmark studies conducted in 1969 and 1971. These studies surmised that acne was brought about by a genetic error that causes your body to develop an excessive amount of sebum oil, a natural oil that your body uses to keep your skin soft and flexible.

Excess sebum oil tends to amalgamate in hair follicles and skin pores, plugging the pores and supplying a perfect breeding ground for the P-acne bacteria (Propionibacterium Acnes), which is present on everyone’s skin. In conventional numbers, the P-acne bacteria is actually favorable, controlling other, more threatening, bacteria that come our way.

Unfortunately, excess sebum oil lets the bacteria multiply to abnormal amounts, resulting in skin irritation. Your body’s natural defenses then send white blood cells to the area to control the bacteria. The resulting conflict causes more over sensitivity and the arrival of white heads, blackheads (once exposed to the air), pimples, and, well…acne.

But…How does that effect an acne detox diet?

Quite a bit, actually. The more up-to-date studies have found that the findings reached in the 1968 and 1971 studies were not only incorrect, but that the studies, themselves, were inherently flawed. Apparently, once they found the DNA-sebum oil connection, they stopped looking for other reasons.

Researchers in the recent studies didn’t stop, and finally found that there is a definite link between diet and acne. What they didn’t expect was to find that the link wasn’t so much what you were eating, but much more about how what you’re eating is made.

A large amount of the foods we eat, both at home and in restaurants, are made with chemicals that act as preservatives. This keeps the food safe and fresh for much longer, which, in itself, is not a bad thing.

What is a a bad thing (and the reason for using an acne detox diet) as a natural remedy for acne is that these recent studies also found that, over a period of time, these chemicals tend to collect inside your body until they reach a toxic level, causing your body’s natural defenses to try to eliminate the poisons.

They also found that, in people prone to acne, the body cleans itself of these chemicals by emulsifying them in sebum oil (remember that from earlier?) and secreting it out through your skin. This produces the exact same conditions as those created by faulty DNA, and results in acne formation.

So, it’s apparent that an acne detox diet that rids your body of these chemicals before they reach a dangerous level, can be not just an acne cure, but the acne cure.
